Countdown begins...or continues?!


Right well with the shite week we have had here in Auckland what more incentive does one need to get out of this place? So tickets to the UK booked and paid for...spousal visa application uploaded today with biometrics appointment in a week and a half (arg and the NZ$1400+ fee paid - go the visa card!)... NZ passport renewal application completed and ready to send...landlords informed that we won't be extending our lease...CRB forms completed and ready to send...what next?

Well some time away from the sofa and taking this now nearly mended dog for more Ws me thinks! Not taking all this excess baggage with me to the UK and I'm not talking about clothes and detachable accessories. Besides all the stuff worth taking got nicked in the burglary :(

Besides Adi should be making the effort to look good for Aza's long awaiting return to the land of the long white cloud - not trying to seduce me into staying in bed that extra 30min in the morning with the offer of snuggles!

hrm ahh new year?

So uh..yeah..so far this new year it's been a total right off for writing this blog or any sort of structure in fitness. I have been semi regularly going to the gym however I have had some knee and back troubles which has limited the amount I can do. For some reason also I have gone up in weight rather than down despite eating better than I did before.

So right now I beginning to mix things up again and try and get some loss going. I am eating healthier and trying to get more salads and less carb's into my diet. I am hoping I can shake up my metabolism a little more and hopefully kick start it into action.

Fitness wise I am trying to get to the gym at least 2-3 times a week for 30mins to an hour. I have been doing more upper body work as well as just exercycling as it seems my upper body sucks in terms of strength. I am also doing my knee physical therapy twice a day and I really need to start doing some back strength exercises as well as it feels weaker than it should be.

So that's a brief update of whats been going on, hopefully more will be written once I have some more structure sorted out.
